Water or Juice?

Every morning, I will start my day with drinking 2-3 cups of hot water, sometimes hot green tea. If you want to drink something else instead of water.  I have some recommendation for you.

Blend juice at home
Jamba Juice Nutritional Facts
Usually summer is very hot in the afternoon.  It's best for a fresh icy blend juice.  If you go down to a store to buy smoothie or fresh blend juice, they will add few table spoon of syrup to make it sweeter and end up more calories I need to burn.  A smoothie at Jamba Juice, each cup have at least 300 calories.  The most I see on the list is almost 600 calories.  Don't forget that we only need 2,000 each day.   Many of their drinks at Jamba Juice put scoops of ice-cream, which I really don't like.  But it is also the best part which makes it taste so GOOD!!

When I start blending, I will go through my fridge to see what is available.  I want to start with the vegetable that are not as fresh.  The ones you don't want to eat them anymore because they've been sitting in the fridge for so long.  Same with the fruits, you want to choice the one that are ready to eat.  Espeically when you see the black dots coming out from the banana.  These are the one has more natural sugar. For me, I will usually put a banana and an apple for a better taste.  For vegetable, I prefer tomato and celery.  Of course, you can blend according to your taste.  In the beginning, it may not taste as good because we are so used to the juice we buy from the supermarket.  Most of them are concentrated with preservatives to last longer.

A cup of blend juice can give you the nutrition and vitamins you need each day.  It can help us to strengthen our immune system and fight off any viruses.  Sometimes when we eat, we may not eat enough either vegetables and fruits.  A cup of small blend juice may cost you around $4 with sweetener added.  But you can DIY (Do It Yourself) at home with less cost and flavors of your choice.  It is much healthier!  Rather than drinking coffee, why not try this?  It may give you more energy and vitamins throughout your day.  If I can do it, you can do it too!!

Strawberries & Yogurt!

Hello Everyone,
Have you noticed is already May?  Summer is around the corner, we should slim down those fat before we go to the beaches with our bikinis and swim suits.  A little trick for myself is when I have the craving for junk food, I grab a fruit to eat.  I know some of you may think fruits has so much preparation when you have to do so much washing and pilling.  It is much healthier to eat natural sugar from the fruits than the sugar in junk foods.
Do you like eating the "Fruits and Yogurt" @McDonalds?  I used to buy them all the time.  But the fruits are usually not fresh and dipped with sugar waster for a sweeter taste.  Since we are now in a perfect season for STRAWBERRIES, you can make your own "Fruits and Yogurt". Strawberries are one of the fruit I like the best when they are in season, huge and sweet!  I bought mine from Safeway for $2/basket.  Vanilla Yogurt usually comes in a container, and they cost around $3.  Wash and dry your strawberries with a towel, cut them in half and mix them with your vanilla yogurt.  If you like, you can mix them with different types of yogurt.  It only takes me less than 10 minutes to prepare, is fast and easy.  If I can do it, you can do it too!!

Strawberries are the excellent source of Vitamin-C, helps your immune system to fight for any infection and it is also a very rich in antioxidant.  There are studies that show strawberry can prevent you from aging and cancer.
